Get Involved

Why Volunteer?

…because you don’t need to travel across the world to Nepal to make a difference. By volunteering with the RLCV Youth Leaders Program, you can help empower girls in Nepal…right from your laptop! Whether you’re into teaching, writing, design, or just want to do something meaningful, we provide lots of flexible, remote ways to get involved. Your time and effort will give these girls the support they need to succeed in life. Contact risinglotusyouthleaders@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

  • Create Educational Lessons

Design lessons to help build our curriculum in English, Math, or Science. Volunteers can create Google Slides, video tutorials, or printable materials that explain core concepts in a fun and accessible way. These lessons will be reviewed by our team before being shared with the girls at RLCV.

  • Social Media & Blog Content Creation

Use your creativity to raise awareness about RLCV and girls’ education. Volunteers can design graphics, write captions or blog posts, and brainstorm ideas for reels or videos to be featured on our Instagram, Facebook, and blog. Great for anyone interested in storytelling, design, or digital media!

  • Assignment Feedback & Tutoring

Support the girls’ learning journey by reviewing their essays, worksheets, or practice assignments. Volunteers will provide encouraging, constructive feedback. No teaching experience necessary.

About the Founder

Lucy started working with Rising Lotus in 2022 initially focusing on social media management and communications. She founded the Youth Leaders to create ways for students around the world to support the girls at RLCV without having to travel to Nepal. Lucy has helped coordinate fundraising campaigns like the one for the new campus building and has been working closely with all three of RLCV's directors—Nate, Tracy, and Hari for all these years. One of her favorite parts of her work is getting to FaceTime with the girls through Hari, seeing their personalities shine through and hearing about what they're learning. She shares Nate's passion for soccer and believes that giving these girls access to education and opportunities is one of the most meaningful things young people can do.
